Peirson House

This attractive late Victorian house offers comfortable well-proportioned rooms with en suite toilet facilities, or adjacent bathrooms, for up to 7 residents. Residents furnish the rooms with their own personal belongings and make this their home. A room is available for guests when not being used by the Relief Housekeeper.

The house has recently been greatly enhanced by the extension of its dining room to provide a delightful garden room leading out onto a patio and raised garden. A cabin lift means all rooms are easily accessible.

The house is close to all amenities of Muswell Hill, and is a popular choice for those who enjoy getting out and about.

The resident Housekeeper provides support and takes care of all food shopping. She cooks and serves lunch and tea each day in the dining room. Residents have provision in their room for making breakfast and snacks. Staff are not on duty 24 hours a day, but all residents have personal alarms ensuring that help can always be summoned if required. Room cleaning is provided and Residents have access to a well equipped laundry room. This is classed as “Supported Sheltered Housing."

Residents have the key to their room and the front door and are encouraged to go out as much as they want and have visitors whenever they choose. From time to time outings and social functions are organized. Reminiscence and discussion sessions have become popular and residents have the option of attending the weekly exercise class. Residents arrange for a hairdresser and chiropodist to visit the house.

Residents here have formed a poetry group, which meets once a month and welcomes visitors.
